Perfect Pesto

Classically Italian, this pesto recipe perfectly blends herbs, nuts, and cheese to create a thick emerald-hued sauce. To save yourself time, create a large batch of this perfect pesto and freeze in individual sized portions. You can serve over a bed of pasta or spread on fresh pizza dough on busy weeknight.

  • 100 ml olive oil
  • 50 g freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 50 g fresh basil
  • 50 g pine nuts
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • salt & black pepper to taste


  1. Place all the ingredients in the order listed into the JTC OmniBlend jug and secure the lid.
  2. Using the 35 second pre-set timer, insert tamper tool and blend the pesto ingredients together.
  3. Use to coat with your favourite pasta.
